Thirty minutes with a partnership manager. Whether you’re a business with something broken, a platform that needs keeping running, a development project you want moving, or an agency who needs developers sitting behind you, tell us what’s going on and we’ll give you an honest view of it.
Our pricing and our process are published, in full, before you ever speak to us. You’ll know what things cost and how we work before the call, not after it.
Pick a timeYou talk for about ten minutes. What’s broken, what’s stuck, what you need covering month to month, or what you’re trying to build. If you’re an agency, it’s the platforms you’re carrying and the gaps in your team — and we’ll be straight about what we could take off you, white-labelled and under your name. We ask questions. We don’t present anything.
Then we tell you what we think is actually going on, and what we’d do about it, whether that’s a fix, a support arrangement, a development plan, or nothing at all. If a developer needs to be on the call for that, we’ll bring one in.
We won’t be coy about money either. Our rates, our retainers and the way we scope work are all published, you can read them before we speak. Nothing about the numbers is saved up as a surprise for later.
Then you decide. Plenty of people leave with a plan they carry out themselves, and that’s a perfectly good outcome.
When a platform misbehaves, the instinct is to quote for a new one. It’s an easier sell and a bigger invoice, and it’s usually not what’s needed. What’s actually wrong tends to be smaller, duller and entirely fixable by someone willing to sit down and read the code.
I won’t be running your project, that goes to a dedicated project manager and the developers. What I do is the part before that: working out what’s actually wrong and whether fixing it is worth your money. That’s where I’m useful, because I sit between the technology and the business, and that gap is where most money gets wasted. Twenty-six years of watching companies buy technology that made no commercial sense means I won’t recommend work unless I can tell you what it earns you, saves you or protects you from. If the honest answer is “leave it alone and spend the money elsewhere”, you’ll get that instead.
Agencies work with us the same way: we sit behind them as the developers they escalate to, white-labelled, covering the platforms and the hours their own team can’t.
And it doesn’t stop at fixing. Once a platform is stable, the interesting conversation starts, what you build next, what you automate, where the growth actually comes from. That’s the “beyond” part, and it’s the part I enjoy most.
None of this is required. If you don’t have it, come anyway.
So we send the right person to the call. Then you’ll pick a time, you won’t have to type any of this twice.
We’ll only use this to prepare for the call. No newsletters, no follow-up sequences.
If your site or app is down right now, don’t book a call, ring 01429 555088 . That’s a P1 and it’s handled differently.
It’s free and there’s no catch. Thirty minutes costs us very little and tells us whether we can actually help you. If we can’t, we’d rather find that out on a call than after you’ve signed something.
No. We don’t employ a sales team and nobody here works to a commission or a quota. The person on the call is a partnership manager, their job is to understand your platform and work out whether we’re the right people, not to close you. If the honest answer is “you don’t need us”, that’s the answer you’ll get.
A partnership manager. Their job on this call is to understand what’s actually going on, technically and commercially, so they can tell you what we think is wrong, what it’s likely to cost, and whether the work is worth doing at all. If a question needs real technical depth, they’ll bring a developer into the call rather than taking it away and coming back to you next week. If we go ahead, you’re given a dedicated project manager who runs the work day to day alongside the developers, so you always have one named person to go to.
Yes. A good share of our work is development and ongoing support rather than repair, new features, new integrations, platforms that need someone to own them month to month. Come and tell us what you’re trying to get to.
Yes, and a lot of our work is exactly that: sitting behind an agency as the technical layer they escalate to, or covering platforms their team doesn’t hold. White-labelled, under your name, and we don’t approach your clients. Bring the platforms you’re carrying and where the team is stretched, and we’ll be straight about what we could take off you.
Our pricing is published on the site, you can read it before we ever speak. Retainers start from £400 a month, block hours are available, and project work is scoped and quoted before anything begins. On the call we’ll give you a realistic range for your situation rather than a number designed to get you to a second meeting.
Almost certainly not. We maintain, support and fix what you already have, that’s the whole basis of the business. If you’ve been quoted for a rebuild by someone else, bring the quote. Very often the underlying platform is sound and the real problem is smaller, duller and considerably cheaper than a rebuild.
Then we’ll say so on the call, and where we can we’ll point you at who could. We’d rather lose thirty minutes than take on work we’re not the right people for, that ends badly for both of us and we’ve seen how it looks from the other side.
No. A link is helpful, read-only access is a bonus, but neither is required. We can have a useful conversation with nothing but a description of what’s going wrong. If we do need access later, we’ll tell you exactly what and why.
It’s common and it needn’t be awkward. We frequently work alongside an existing team as the specialist layer they escalate to, incidents, complex platform work, releases. It isn’t all-or-nothing, and if your current setup is doing a good job we’ll say that too.
It depends what you need and what we’ve got on, and we’ll be honest about both on the call rather than promising a start date we can’t hold. Retainer clients get a 1-hour response on P1 critical incidents and a 3-hour acknowledgement on everything else, so once you’re on, you’re not queueing.
No, and there are two ways to work with us. A retainer gives you total peace of mind, a named developer, guaranteed response times and someone who knows your platform before anything goes wrong. Or you can buy block hours and use them ad hoc, as and when you need us. Plenty of clients start with block hours and move to a retainer once they see how often they’re reaching for us. We’ll tell you on the call which one genuinely suits you.
Usually, yes. We’re UK-based and our guarantees run in UK business hours, but we offer longer support windows to cover your time zone. Say where you are on the call and we’ll tell you honestly what we can and can’t commit to.
Then don’t book a call, ring us on 01429 555088. That’s a P1 critical incident and it’s handled completely differently. Retainer clients get a senior developer allocated within the hour, and we’ll talk to non-clients in an emergency too.
